I'll now tell you all about them

My mother has Jewish ancestry. Yes I'm proud to be related to Jews but I need to tell you about my grandparents.


If you just happen to meet my grandparents don't ever ask them if they're Jewish. They're just going to say no. They don't like talking about their Jewish ancestry. They were raised Catholic so that's all they'll tell you. You see I've got ancestry who were Jewish and they changed their name from Kaufmann to Coffman. They wanted to switch to Catholisism to hide their idenity.

They did this then went to America and gave birth to my great grandmother. We called her Gramma Stella. Then she gave birth to my grandfather Richard Coffman. Than my mother than me James Henry Benson and Thomas Edward Benson and Elmira Jean Benson.
